Gus in a shoe

Yes...another picture of my gerbil. More pictures coming very soon, just as soon as my camera batteries charge. Mom told me that these shoes were popular when she was around my age and younger. Papa told me I looked like a hoodlum wearing them...LOL. Silly Papa

Bunny!!

I know Easter is not about the bunny but I couldn't resist making myself some Ears and painting my nose pink. Er, mom, I hope you don't use that color...

Gerbil on the loose

I thought these pictures were really interesting, I want your thoughts on them. Are they to dark to be "artsy" LOL

Egg wraps

Here is a simple and yummy recipe for breakfast called egg wraps. Scramble 6 eggs or so and put into a frying pan with a lip on it. Flip the egg 7-8 times to make sure its cooked all the way through, I found if you lift up an edge of the egg the raw egg runs underneath the cooked part. After it's cooked cut into oh six pieces and wrap in a piece of American Cheese. Then eat it!

Seasonal Bulletin Board

Here it is!
The top
Couldn't Resist!
The Bulletin Board in our kitchen changes seasonally. For winter there was a mitten theme with snowflakes for a border and "Happy Winter" across the top. Valentines Theme. The top means alot. Family=Love, We hail from three different nations; three different flags, South Korea, Philippines, and the USA. Seven embossed hearts representing the 7 of us. And up in the corner is the best example of love ever. Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins because he loved us. The bottom half is simply tags with words stamped on them with phrases from Coversation Hearts. And FROGS!

GUS!

My new gerbil!!!! His name is Gus and he is so cute and cuddly. He also has a bad habit of nipping sometimes but he seems to have stopped that.

Ducky

Dancing, jumping, doing everthing BUT walking straight prim and proper.

Raggedy Ann

Gramma made her for me. I love her!

Lizzie

Yet another clue to the disarry of the decor of my room. Reflective of the person who occupies the room I suppose. PS. Excuse the bare walls, I am attempting to paint. All wallpaper must go!

Bulletin Board

I LOVE this board. A little of this and that.

Tea!

I often drink 2-3 of these a day.

Directions to Heart mirror.

Directions. Buy a one dollar wooden object from craft store slap some paint on it and then paint flowers on it. Promptly display. No, LOL

The frame itself comes from our local AC Moore. For a $1 they have a large assortment of unpainted wooden objects. Ornaments, plaques, and I even saw a purse mirror next to the bin with the heart mirror in it!

For paint I use Anitas Acrylic Craft Paint and Delta Ceramcoat. Delta has the most different colors and is also very inexspensive. Americana is nice but it is more exspensive and the colors are more muted.
The mirror comes apart into three pieces. Front, back and the mirror itself. The pieces tend to need some minor sanding down especially on the front.

Three medium coats of paint cover the piece very well and when that dries it's time for the fun to begin! I painted the heart free-hand this time but there are some absolutly gorgeous stencils out there. Scrapbooking stencils for letters maybe....
