Brooke's walls look similar. It started because the wallpaper, even though new, was peeling slightly at some of the seams and Morgan would put band-aids on it. Then Brooke got the wild idea to pull it all off (without permission from Mom, mind you). But it would all have to be removed after we move anyway - pink beribboned wallpaper just has limited appeal. :^)
