My new gerbil!!!! His name is Gus and he is so cute and cuddly. He also has a bad habit of nipping sometimes but he seems to have stopped that.

awww Gus is cute. Hayley would like to know is his main color brown, it was a little hard to tell.
Hayley suggests giving him some cardboard to chew like a toilet paper tube. Also he should stop nipping in time as you give him more attention and he gets used to you.

AFTER CLOSER INSPECTION OF GUS I now see that yes; his main color IS brown. Not white like I originally said. Gus has been eating carboard tubes non-stop, they really help alot!
PS. the lady at the pet store told me not to handle him for the first week but he is so friendly and not afraid of me. Can I start picking him up yet? It's been just about 4 days.
